Julian Brandariz | Therapy-induced senescence in prostate cancer
Friday 02/12 at 12:00 pm, Julian Brandariz (Ph.D. student in the Prostate Cancer Translational Research Group headed by Joaquin Mateo and Nicolas Herranz) will give a seminar entitled: “Therapy-induced senescence in prostate cancer“.
Cellular senescence is a response to nonlethal stress that results in persistent cytostasis with a distinct morphological and biochemical phenotype. Current research suggests that therapy-induced senescence (TIS) represents a novel functional target that may improve cancer therapy. Thanks to the doctoral project Julian is pursuing here in the VHIO, we will be able to find out more in detail about this important topic and its possible applications in such important cancer as prostate cancer.
This seminar will be held in the Amphitheater of Cellex.
