VHIO Academy is currently part of the INTERACT-EUROPE 100 project funded by the European Union, which aims at implementing a multidisciplinary, inter-specialty cancer training curriculum to improve cancer care through the promotion of collaborative teams working across Europe.

The project includes a critical review of the current state of inter-specialty training resources, the identification of existing learning materials, as well as the production of innovative and diversified learning resources. VHIO Academy’s contribution to the project impacts different professional groups at different levels, by translating educational materials to be used by oncology professionals in their care practice, as well as by coordinating specific clinical training opportunities and delivering training to healthcare professionals in workplace communication (between professionals with different roles/backgrounds, as well as with patients and caretakers).

VHIO Academy’s participation in the INTERACT-EUROPE project provides the infrastructure, expertise and material necessary for assessing training needs of oncology professionals of different backgrounds and implementing high quality, intra-specialty training in diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
