- The grants have been awarded within the framework of the INVESTIGO Grant call published by the AGAUR, financed by the European Union with Next Generation EU funds.
Within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, the INVESTIGO Program aims to promote the hiring of people under 30 years of age in the research sector. Specifically, the subsidy wants to facilitate the labor insertion of young people with professional profiles of researchers, research support personnel and other positions in R+D+i.
In Catalonia, the INVESTIGO Program has been articulated through the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR). VHIO has opened the corresponding selection processes for the 10 granted positions and in the 2023 call ten places have been awarded (seven technical position and three postdoctoral researcher positions):
- Research technician – Experimental Therapeutics Group
- Research Technician – Translational Research Group in Prostate Cancer
- Research nurse – Breast Cancer Group
- Research Technician – Bioinformatics Unit
- Coordinator – Office of Clinical Trials
- Research Technician – Translational Sarcoma Research Group
- Research technician – Stem Cells and Cancer Group
- Postdoctoral Researcher – Pre-Clinical and Translational Research Program (2 positions)
- Postdoctoral Researcher – Clinical Research Program
This program represents a new way to promote the start or continuation of a scientific career among young people and the creation of new jobs in our institution and, thus, continue to nurture the search for talent and excellence.
