Oustanding Principal Investigators in basic/translational cancer research & immunology (Process Closed)

Applicants must have a PhD or PhD & MD, grounded postdoctoral research experience and strong leadership skills. Preference will be given to highly established investigators currently leading outstanding research already well-funded through extramural grants, coupled with demonstrated excellence in multidisciplinary, collaborative and ground-breaking research as evidenced by high impact publications in first-rate, peer-reviewed journals.

Early stage investigators documenting similarly notable accomplishments will also be considered.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with evidence of high academic achievements. Lab experience in such areas as mouse work, molecular biology, confocal microscopy, molecular biology, developmental biology would be advantageous. Eligibility: Applicants shall at the time of recruitment be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. In addition, applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date.

31/01/2016 – Immediate Call: VHIO seeks outstanding and highly driven Postdoctoral Scientists in breast cancer biology & oncoimmunology (Process Closed)

VHIO´s Growth Factors Group led by Joaquín Arribas is currently extending its basic, purely translational breast cancer research into advancing insights in oncoimmunlogy. We are inviting immediate applications from outstanding postdoctoral candidates with a strong background in immunology and cancer cell biology to spur research into immune-based personalized therapeutics.

Applicants must demonstrate excellence in multidisciplinary, collaborative and ground-breaking research as evidenced by a strong publication record, as well as the same motivational spirit, drive and energy shared by VHIO´s other rising young talents. Only candidates that have obtained their PhD after 2011 will be considered.
