Taking place on Monday 24 February 2014, 09:15 – 10:30, at the Hotel Alimara Barcelona, we are delighted to announce that Executive Editor of Cancer Discovery, Judy Quong, will be joining us at VHIO to deliver the 7th in the prestigious VHIO Meet the Editors talks, followed by a Q & A with the audience: Cancer Discovery: Looking Back, Moving Forward.
Cancer Discovery was launched in June 2011 by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Executive Editor, Judy Quong will review the aims of Cancer Discovery and how it has evolved during its first 3 years, as well as discuss future directions, driven by developments in cancer research, from an editorial perspective.
More specifically, Judy will provide insight as to just how such a young journal has managed to situate itself already among the top ten journals specialized in oncology in 2012, explore the positioning of the journal within such a competitive landscape, and explain how Cancer Discovery has so successfully managed to attract papers that would otherwise be submitted to well established journals.
True to the fame and format of these unique educational opportunities, the second half of the session will be dedicated to a Question & Answers round with Judy, providing all participants with opportunity to put their comments and questions forward.
