The Oncology Service of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, attached to the VHIO is Seeks a “CLinical reasearch navigator and data entry for the Hereditary Cancer Genetics Group.

 

 

Job description:

The Hereditary Cancer Genetics group is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Clinical Research Navigator and Data Entry.  The candidate will play a crucial role in data entry and facilitating patient inclusion and follow-up in epidemiological/clinical research studies. This position involves close collaboration with oncologists and genetic counsellors, aiming to the team’s clinical practice and success of our research projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to data collection from electronic patient records for ongoing research projects and clinic-genetics research registries
  • Support in the design and implementation of visualization tools for interrogating clinic-genetics databases
  • Conduct patient follow-up and maintain accurate data records
  • Perform data entry and curation tasks in clinic-genomics databases for several projects in the field of hereditary cancer
  • Collaborate closely with clinical oncologists and genetic counsellors to enhance research coordination

 

 Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing or Life Sciences-related (Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Genetics).
  • Good teamwork skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good computer skills: Excel, clinical databases (ideally RedCap and Progeny).
  • Fluent in English, Catalan, and Spanish.

 

Preferred, but not mandatory:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of hereditary cancer.
  • Experience as data-entry.
  • Prior experienced working in a clinical research or clinical trial environment.
  • Prior education in biostatistics will be positively considered.
  • Fluent in R language for programming.
  • C1 level of Catalan.

 

Labour conditions: 

  • Direct contract with the Oncology Service of the Vall Hebron University Hospital, affiliated to the VHIO.
  • Full time-position
  • Starting date: immediate
  • Gross annual salary according to collective agreement pay scale for Tècnic Superior Administratiu within Hospital Vall d’Hebron
