Job description:

The Vall d´Hebron Institute of Oncology´s (VHIO) Stem Cells and Cancer Group, headed by Dr. Héctor G. Palmer, is currently recruiting for a Scientific Laboratory Technician to support projects focused in developing new therapies for the treatment of advanced metastatic and drug-resistant cancer. In this line, the group is working with mouse models of cancer and mainly with patient-derived xenografts to test combinations of new drugs in collaboration with different pharmaceutical companies.

 Review of applications will commence immediately.

 

Requirements:

  • A very organized, motivated, team-oriented individual, who is highly skilled and experienced in working with animal models.
  • Specific experience in mouse models of cancer, drug administration and animal surgery will be highly valuable.
  • In addition, formation in other techniques will be very appreciated such as histology, cell culture, western blot or any protocols of molecular biology.
  • Official course of animal handling (FELASA) is required.
