Curriculum Summary
Dr. Muñoz is a specialist in breast cancer and melanoma and other skin tumors. She is also an associate of the Medical Oncology Service of Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, where she is part of the breast cancer team and heads the center’s unit for melanoma and other skin tumors. At this center, she is principal investigator and co-investigator of multiple phase I, II and III clinical trials.
She holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (2005). She completed her residency in Medical Oncology at Vall d’Hebron Hospital between 2006 and 2010. She received her PhD in Medical Oncology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2011), with a unanimous cum laude distinction, for her doctoral thesis on breast cancer,”Re-treatment with non-pegylated liposomal anthracycline in patients with metastatic breast cancer who have previously received treatment with conventional anthracyclines”.
She has co-authored several publications in high-impact journals, especially in the field of breast tumors, melanoma and other skin tumors, including scientific articles, papers at congresses and conferences and communications, both nationally and internationally.
She is also a member of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the cooperative groups SOLTI and GEICAM, and is a member of the board of GEM.
