Fulfilling the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2008, VHIO is one of the few research institutes in Europe to have been awarded the International Certification Network Certificate by IQNET – one of the world´s largest network of leading certification bodies, and AENOR – the Spanish Association of Standardization and Certification, in recognition of a Quality Management System.
Founded in 1986, coinciding with Spain´s entry to the European Economic Community, AENOR is among the 10 most recognized certification organizations in the world. AENOR certification is consequently the most highly valued in not only in Spain, but also at global level having issued certificates in more than 60 countries.
Quality Management System certification in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 9001, further to a rigorous and highly independent review process, not only recognizes VHIO´s implementation and development of a process-based quality management system, but also its continued and determined efforts focused on further improving its effectiveness and performance in project management in cancer biomedical research.
