The ODELIA consortium came together in Barcelona for its annual face-to-face meeting, hosted by the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) on 15–16 September 2025.
During the two days, members met in person to reflect on the project’s progress, share perspectives, and engage in dynamic discussions about the exciting work ahead to revolutionize medical AI through swarm learning. The meeting also provided valuable opportunities to strengthen personal connections, with moments of leisure and networking, including a dinner celebrating Spanish cuisine and great company.
ODELIA Summer School 2025: Where AI Meets Precision Medicine
Immediately after the meeting, VHIO hosted the ODELIA Summer School 2025, from 16 to 18 September. Over three inspiring days, the session welcomed +25 early-career researchers, clinicians, and data scientists from across Europe who immersed themselves in the latest AI technologies shaping the future of healthcare.
The program featured hands-on workshops, insightful lectures covering AI, imaging, clinical trials, and regulatory aspects, as well as thought-provoking keynote talks. Beyond the formal sessions, participants found countless opportunities to exchange ideas, foster collaborations, and spark new projects.
Lasting Impact
A week filled with learning, collaboration, and inspiration left a lasting mark on all who attended. ODELIA’s Annual Meeting and Summer School 2025 not only highlighted the transformative potential of AI in healthcare but also strengthened the bonds and expertise that will help drive the future of precision medicine.
